ForM – Forged Memories: The Church of Late Antique Iran and the West is a 3-year EU-funded project started on October 1, 2023 under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.
ForM project aims at analyzing the circumstances and reasons why, according to some sources, the 4th-5th century Church of the Late Antique Iran turns to the Western Church and political power searching for political support and ecclesiastical legitimation: to what extent and in what way does the ideological and literary re-elaboration affect the representation of this relation? What are the narrative devices adopted, and what is the role of some forged documents in that?
